Cessna I Award

Pacific Miniatures is a company that has brought me in on several of their projects in the aircraft industry. This piece was created as the top award for Cessna Aircraft Company. It was a difficult project for many reasons. Cessna wanted me to reconstruct the first Cessna ever built by their company. It was to be my interpretation and it was to have more detail than I normally create. It is not realistic but it is proportionally correct. The spiral support that holds the aircraft aloft was the "smoke" trail that I have seen coming out of the back of small aircraft in movies or over fields at air shows. I imagined that this plane could do anything. The propeller, by the way spins freely, a great touch if I say so myself. When the CEO was shown the finished piece he was speechless. It doesn't get better than that!
