Stargazer Award

This piece is used by the American Media and Entertainment Counsel as their Counsel of the Year award. I first conceived this piece out of a desire to create a sculpture that had a sweeping figure combined with a star of some kind. The sky is full of stars, and I believe life on earth is full of “stars”—not movie stars, just everyday “you and me” stars. The figure is reaching, because to be a star you have to reach beyond yourself and others. When you do, you become a Stargazer!
