Artist’s Notes:
The female figure conjures up certain thoughts associated with the word woman and the word female. In this sculpture the female figure represents all women. The figure is holding the world, protecting the earth. The figure is in a forward motion implying movement to the future. The figure has one arm firmly around the earth and the other is lifted above the head in a gesture of power and conviction. This is a determined powerful woman.
