Artist’s Notes:
It seems that the star theme is so over used in awards, but it is a symbol that people are drawn to and identify with easily. With this in mind I asked myself how could I create something to epitomize stars. I wanted something explosive to represent the energy of those who excel and push themselves to the top, to their best. There are two stars, because I believe no matter how good we are, some other person was our model or helped us reach for the “stars.” (see Starburst)
